We walked to the Shorewood fireworks show.
Grilling in the backyard.
Celebrating Sam's first birthday...
... and Julia's third.
I saw a pretty good sized fish in Wingra Creek.
Today was my office-mate's last day. I gave him a picture of his lamp to remember us by.
We went to hear the Carillon Tower play. After that, we walked down to the Union and watched part of the final World Cup game over ice cream.
The lily my dad gave us bloomed.
The bed arrived today. Pretty decent for Malaysian furniture off of Amazon. The strange tube thing standing up next to the bed is the mattress.
Here is the mattress removed from its case. After this I laid it out and then broke the airtight seal on the plastic.
And there you have it. It's an actual coil and foam mattress. The packaging says it takes 48 hours to totally regain it's shape. Pretty amazing.
Amaranth. We found this at the farmer's market this morning. I had never seen this before, so we looked it up. It's classified as a herb, and you use it like spinach.
Check out this humongous beetle.
This bee was also there.
Masami's homemade gyouza (pork dumplings) cooking away.
Check out these cute carrots we grew.
Pregnant wife melting into the sofa.
