I was over at Myris's place tonight.

I borrowed my Mom's car to buy food for myself, and my toads.
Well fed after a couple days with no food, my toads were in a good mood.

I was up at Devil's Lake hiking with my folks when I got the call offering me the job I was excited about. Coincidentally, when I found out I got my last job in Japan, I called my mom's cell phone and they happened to have been hiking up at Devil's Lake then too.
I went car shopping today. My car was crunched in an accident last month, and I'm going to need some reliable wheels to get me to my new job! I test drove some VW's, and the handling and safety on today's slushy roads was amazing. These cars would be perfect for the upcoming Wisconsin winter. The car I really loved was the Passat, but even used they're a bit expensive.
I bought a car today. I didn't take a picture of it, so you'll have to wait until Monday when I pick it up. I took this picture at my friend Myris's house at 5:32pm.
I had to convince someone that "Konnichiwa" can be written in Kanji.

I went up to Marshfield to see a friend from Japan! She was back in Wisconsin for her brother's wedding. It was a nice trip. I don't get to see my friends from Japan often.
