This is a HDR (High Dynamic Range) photo I took near lake Mendota in Madison.
I was playing with an idea Myris suggested to me. I took the same picture with three separate focal planes (the front plant, middle plant, water). Then I combined them digitally for an interesting effect.

Bad Kitty! I opened the window for a second to throw out a bug, and she jumped out. I had to climb up onto the roof to get her. I finally get her back inside, and she runs right up to the same window and paws at the screen. It was quite an adventure for a house cat. Just don't show this to my roommate, it's his cat.

I was hit by an elderly couple today. Here ends the tale of the Medmobile. This was my sister's car when she was in med school. It doesn't look too bad, but the bumper is jammed up in the wheel-well.
Chii is so photogenic. Without my wheels, you probably won't get too many pictures far from my apartment for a while.
We had a nice snow fall overnight. Winter is coming a bit early this year.
An earwig made a wrong turn on the coffee maker this morning and was deep roasted between the pot and the machine.
