On my way back from a work trip to Rockford Illinois, I had to pull over as a blinding rain passed over. I took this photo while parked on the shoulder. The red lights are from the person parked in front of me.
I don't know what kind of bug this is, but there were a ton of them on the picnic table while I was trying to eat lunch.

Leopard Moth.
Taco Night at Taco Johns in Monona was fabulous. It's a much classier version of the several Taco Johns restaurants that went out of business in Madison and Middleton. They bring your food out to your table, kept the place clean, etc. This photo has nothing to do with the restaurant however. This was a spider on an outdoor handrail at Myris' apartment. He had very interesting blue chelicerae.

I got my 72mm to 52mm reverse coupler ring today. It lets me combine my 28-135mm macro lens with my 50mm f/1.8. I got the idea from another photographer who combined a 100mm 1-5x macro with a 35mm f/2.0. I'm going to order some extension tubes to make things really interesting later.
