I was trying out some things on my old Sony camera. I wanted to see if using the lossless mode at a lower resolution would in fact be better than jpg at full resolution. With this Sony, you really have to scale the image by 50% to get the kind of clarity my Canon can give you unscaled. The reason is simply that the sensor and lens are only so good in a compact camera. But in the end it didn't make any difference.

We had a nice snowfall overnight. The roads were horrific this morning however. For a two mile stretch of road my speedometer never rose off the pin at zero.
